Jst missed my flight. Fuck! Lucky i didn't get all the way out to avalon to find that out. I've never missed a flight before in my life not a good time to start. Got a shitload of work to do. For now Jst get to relax in this great melbourne weather. fucking fantastic. My standard nightmare.

Today I finished my first real C# app

Today I finished my first real C# app It took this guy 8 hours to finish a c++ app that read a list from a database, filtered it and launched a script to populate excel. Man if it took me 2 hours to do that in linux I'd have to be drunk or something.

I'm not doctor MFC, but I did try it out when I was in uni (at the point I was still deciding if it was worth to write apps for linux). Windows sucks from a developers point of view. Every system call seems to have a different interface, even in MFC you have to jump through hoops to do the most basic things.

But I think QT and gtk has spoiled me :) C# is looking to be pretty good too. At least you dont have to do crap like instanciate an object and then initialise it. WTF was that all about. Must've be that valley crack those boys at MS were smokin...
